How To Move On From Your Ex
It is sad when the person that gave you the best memories becomes a memory too but sometimes love isn’t just enough.
1. Cut Off Contacts
After a break up whether amicable or not, you need to give yourself time away from them and anything that might trigger more emotions for them.
You can unfollow them from their socials, erase any close contacts you had with them, even if it’s for a while, otherwise you’ll want to see what they are up-to and become jealous or just more bitter.
You might choose to remain friends but you have to give yourself time first before that.
2. Pamper Yourself
During a break up, the train of thoughts that criss cross your mind leaves you overwhelmed and drained.
You can take this chance and spoil yourself. Go for a vacation. Go get that getaway and just let yourself go!
Some of us might want to take a spa day and relax under the soothing hands calming our muscles and nerves! Others would want to eat all the ice cream and binge watch.
Whatever the case spoil yourself to your ability and let yourself go!
3. Be Real With Yourself
More often than not we imagine it working out in our heads and might want to try and make things work because we love the person. We see the great times we’ve had with them and it becomes harder to let go.
Just outweigh the pros and cons of the relationship because it takes more than just love for things to work out. Love might be the whole cake but what about the creaming part that completes it?
You have to come to terms with the fact that maybe you’re incompatible.
4. Vent
Venting is letting out your feelings.
Vent to your loved ones. Talk about how you feel whether sad or mad or both.
Venting to our great support system might make us feel better, they will cheer us and share with us their experiences too and how they did it.
Vent Away!
5. Accept The Past
Most break ups don’t really end on a good note. If your situation was like this, get yourself to grieve, wet that pillow if need be.
Just be careful not to let the grief consume you.
Conclusion
In each tear there’s a lesson that makes you wiser and stronger than before. Stay strong and open to new love possibilities.
Thank you for this
