SIX REASONS WHY THEY GHOST YOU.
Most of us are victims of this while some are the pros of the act.
1. TO PROTECT FEELINGS.
Most people don’t want to have to deal with the emotional breakdown that comes with telling someone ‘it’s over.’
They choose to stop communicating and ignore them. They might be protecting their own feelings, they feel like if they went to say it’s over in person they’d be sucked back in, in the event emotions run high.
2.COWARDICE.
I’m sorry but there’s no other way to really put this point across. Some people are just afraid of telling us they are out.
They’ve had the muffin for the longest and their mouth no longer wishes for a muffin but a cake.
They just don’t have the guts nor the capability to put on their big boys pants and tell you as it is. They’d rather just ignore you till you join the dots and give up on them too.
3. YOU DISPLAYED SIGNS OF BEING TOO NEEDY.
This especially applies to those situationships that run on a ‘no label’ basis. If you agreed to a no strings attached situation, but later on started being too needy emotionally, you’re more likely to get ghosted. The other person might feel overwhelmed and just cut off the communication.
If it’s a relationship, and you get all extra clingy or too insecure, might push the other party to cut you off without wanting to deal with the drama that might surface if they told you they wanted out.
4. THEY MIGHT HAVE BEEN LEADING YOU ON.
Since the beginning, they had no intention whatsoever of making you a part of their life permanently.
So they lead you on and give you a great time and you automatically believe there’s something more worth exploring.
When they start feeling like you’re ‘demanding’ for more, they slowly start removing themselves from the equation. Might be from five texts a day to two and finally to none! Also unanswered phone calls with no call backs. They don’t want anything more or serious from you and just like that, they’re gone.
5. THEY GOT WHAT THEY WANTED.
They might be after you for gainful reasons. If they wanted to use you for your money, show off or just sex.
After they get what they wanted from you, you become of no use to them. They’ll start making excuses to avoid meet ups or they just won’t be responsive at all.
Your purpose in their lives was only for a set period of time.
6. THEY FOUND SOMEONE ELSE.
More often than not, this is usually the major reason for being ghosted.
They find someone else while with you, they feel they’re more connected to them or just want them for whatever reason and not you anymore.
They decide your chapter in their book is canceled and onto the next one they jump in. No ‘sorry this is not working out anymore’ nor ‘ I can’t do this no more.’ No nothing, just a bucket full of silence thrown in your well and bye-bye to you.
CONCLUSION.
Wouldn’t we all just want to deal with emotionally matured people? And get that communication when it’s necessary? Especially when it involves our feelings? But well life is no modern fairy tale nor are there winds in our sails.
